OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: 2,629 Vacancies, Apply by October 10 2024

The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of 2,629 teaching positions in government schools across Odisha. These roles include TGT (Arts), TGT (Science-PCM), TGT (Science-CBZ), Sanskrit Teacher, Hindi Teacher, Physical Education Teacher (PET), Tribal Language Teacher, and Sevak/Sevika. 

 Key Details:

- Application Dates: The online application process will start on September 10, 2024 and close on October 10, 2024. New candidates must register, while existing applicants need to re-register. 

- Age Limit: Applicants must be between 21 to 38 years old

- Salary: Pay scales range from ₹23,600 to ₹112,400 per month, depending on the role.

 Available Positions and Pay Scales:

- TGT (Arts, Science-PCM, Science-CBZ), Hindi Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher: ₹35,400 – ₹112,400

- PET, Sevak/Sevika, Tribal Language Teacher: ₹23,600 – ₹74,800

 Educational Qualifications:

- TGT (Arts/Science), Hindi Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field with a B.Ed or equivalent.

- PET, Sevak/Sevika, Tribal Language Teacher:+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent qualification, relevant training, and proficiency in the tribal language (if applicable).

 Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected based on a Written Test (Multiple Choice Questions) and Document Verification. For certain posts, a Tribal Language Skill Test will be conducted. The Written Test will have negative marking and will be held in all districts of Odisha. The Tribal Language Skill Test, if applicable, will take place within two months of the Written Test.
