The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced the Departmental (Promotion) Examination for the position of Audit Officer (Local Fund) under the Director of Audit (Local Fund), Assam. This recruitment is intended to fill 53 posts, including backlog vacancies reserved for SC/ST candidates, in accordance with the Assam Local Fund Audit Service Rules, 1997, as amended till 2024.

- Pay Scale: ₹22,000 to ₹97,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹11,800 (Pay Band 3)

Eligibility Criteria:

- Experience: Applicants must be currently employed as Assistant Audit Officers under the Director of Audit (Local Fund), Assam. A minimum of three years of service as of January 1, 2023, is required. A certificate confirming the completion of service must be submitted from the Appointing Authority.

- Age Limit: Age will be determined based on the Matriculation/HSLC/HSSLC Admit Card or Certificate from a recognized Board or Council.

- Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Graduate degree from a recognized university.
