The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) has announced the recruitment of 279 Stipendiary Trainees for the year 2024. These positions include 153 Operator roles and 126 Maintainer roles.

Position Details:
- Operator (Category-II Stipendiary Trainee - ST/TN):
- Education: HSC (10+2) or ISC in Science with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and English at the SSC level.
- Age Limit:18 to 24 years
- Stipend:
- 1st Year: ₹20,000 per month
- 2nd Year: ₹22,000 per month
- Book Allowance: ₹3,000 (one-time grant)
- Maintainer (Category-II Stipendiary Trainee - ST/TN):
- Education: SSC (10th) with at least 50% marks in Science and Mathematics, plus a 2-year ITI certificate in a relevant trade, with English at the SSC level.
- Age Limit: 18 to 24 years
- Stipend:
- Appointment to Technician/B (Group-C) in Level 3 of the Revised Pay Structure after successful completion of training, starting with a pay of ₹21,700, with potential increments based on performance.
Selection Process:
The selection process will consist of the following stages:
1. Written Examination:
- Preliminary Test:
- Duration: 1 hour
- Content: 50 multiple-choice questions on Mathematics, Science, and General Awareness
- Passing Marks: 40% for General candidates, 30% for reserved categories
- Advanced Test:
- Duration: 2 hours
- Content: 50 multiple-choice questions specific to the trade
- Passing Marks: 30% for General candidates, 20% for reserved categories
2. Skill Test:(Only for Maintainer positions)
- Candidates up to five times the number of vacancies will be invited for the Skill Test based on their Stage-2 exam scores.
3. Physical Standard Test and Document Verification:
- Applicable for Operator positions.
- Candidates up to three times the number of vacancies will be shortlisted.
