RBI Unveils Draft Guidelines on Climate-related Financial Risks Disclosure Framework, Invites Public Feedback
In adherence to the developmental and regulatory policies outlined in the Monetary Policy Statement on February 8, 2023, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has published the "Draft Disclosure framework on Climate-related Financial Risks, 2024."
The guidelines are set to be applicable to Scheduled Commercial Banks, Tier-IV Primary (Urban) Co-operative Banks, All-India Financial Institutions, and Top and Upper Layer Non-Banking Financial Companies.
The central bank encourages stakeholders to submit comments or feedback via email by April 30, 2024, under the subject line "Comments on Disclosure framework on Climate-related Financial Risks, 2024."
