In a monumental move to propel Rajasthan's development, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to address the 'Viksit Bharat Viksit Rajasthan' programme on February 16, 2024, unveiling a slew of projects totaling over Rs 17,000 crore. The initiatives span crucial sectors such as Roads, Railways, Solar Energy, Power Transmission, Drinking water, and Petroleum & Natural Gas.

Key Highlights:

- Prime Minister to inaugurate multiple National Highway projects exceeding Rs 5000 crore, enhancing connectivity and efficiency in Rajasthan. Notable projects include the 8-Lane Delhi - Mumbai Greenfield Alignment and the 6-Lane Greenfield Udaipur Bypass.

  

- In a boost to rail infrastructure, PM Modi to dedicate eight vital railway projects worth around Rs 2300 crore, emphasizing electrification and modernization of rail routes.

- A significant focus on renewable energy as the Prime Minister lays the foundation stone of solar projects worth approximately Rs 5300 crore, including the NLCIL Barsingsar Solar Project and NHPC LTD's 300 MW Solar Power project.

- Prime Minister to dedicate power transmission projects surpassing Rs 2100 crore, facilitating the efficient transmission of solar power from energy zones in Rajasthan.

- Foundation stone to be laid for multiple projects worth around Rs 2400 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission, reinforcing the commitment to provide clean drinking water through household tap connections.

- Indian Oil's state-of-the-art LPG bottling plant in Jodhpur to be dedicated, promising employment generation and meeting the LPG needs of lakhs of customers.
