Important Notice: Temporary Disruption in ₹2000 Banknote Exchange/Deposit Facility at RBI

On Monday, January 22, 2024, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the temporary suspension of the exchange/deposit facility for ₹2000 banknotes at all 19 Issue Offices. This interruption is due to the half-day closure mandated by the Government of India.

Individuals are advised that the exchange/deposit service for ₹2000 banknotes will be unavailable on January 22, 2024. The facility is set to resume on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, when normal operations will be reinstated.
