JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal Faces Rape Allegation By Mumbai Doctor

Allegations of rape against JSW Group Chairman and Managing Director Sajjan Jindal have surfaced as a 30-year-old doctor from Mumbai filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) police station.  The complaint alleges that the incident took place on January 24, 2022 in a penthouse inside Jindal's office.

  The Mumbai police booked Jindal under serious sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) - including IPC 376 (rape), IPC 354 (assault or criminal coercion on a woman with intent to hurt her modesty), and IPC 503 (criminal intimidation).  Action has been taken by registering a case under  ).

  However, in response to the allegations, Sajjan Jindal has vehemently denied the allegations.  Through a personal statement, he alleged that these allegations are false and baseless.  He reiterates his commitment to provide full cooperation during the investigation process.  

At this stage, Jindal appeals for respect for his family's privacy, refraining from further comment as the investigation unfolds.
